| Catalina Paints
has been manufacturing fine paints and architectural coatings for over
35 years. Founded as A&S paint company in 1933-with a stores in
Beverly Hills and Santa Monica and manufacturing facilities in Culver
City, the name was changed to Catalina Paints in 1968 and
manufacturing facilities moved to it’s present location in North
Hollywood.
Through the years Catalina Paint
Factory has manufactured literally millions of gallons of paint, and
currently can boast being the largest paint factory in the San
Fernando Valley-which if separated from Los Angeles would be the 6th
largest metropolitan area in the country!
In 1994, Catalina was approached by
Benjamin Moore & Co., the premier national
manufacturer of high-end residential and industrial paints. Benjamin
Moore was looking to expand further in the California market and felt
that Catalina would be a good match, and it certainly has been.
Catalina is now the largest distributor of Benjamin Moore Paints in
the Los Angeles area.
Catalina has opened two additional
retail locations within the last five years, and plans for more stores
in the L.A. area in the very near future.
Our product line has expanded
tremendously just within this last decade. With our own manufactured
Catalina Line of Paints, as well as Benjamin Moore, we carry Guardman/Lilly
Lacquers, M.L. Campbell Lacquers, McCloskey Varnishes and Faux Finish
Materials, Cabot Stains, Fine Paints of Europe-Schreuder Ducth Paints,
Venetian Plasters, Gold Leaf and powders, waxes, and a whole lot more. |
